CHRISTMAS party and The British Forces Foundation can only mean one thing - a trip to Hereford and the SAS.

This year Charity Founder Jim Davidson OBE took with him music legend Roy Wood and his band, and the comedian Kev Orkian.

It proved to be a top night which was thoroughly enjoyed and greatly appreciated by members of the Regiment. Unusually, many of them were able to be there, but for those not so fortunate the show was broadcast by secure satellite to places like Iraq.

Maj Jerry Hill thanked The British Forces Foundation for a wonderful evening's entertainment. "The event was a great success, with all those attending being treated to a marvellous spectacle.

"Jim Davidson's performance as always was highly entertaining and the acts he brought with him, Roy Okian and Roy Wood with his band, were fantastic.

"The show is greatly enjoyed by the members of the Regiment and they have asked me to convey their thanks."
