Celebrating the work of The BFF

21st October 2010

Back to Blog

I'm just off to the airport to pick up some people flying in from America who are attending a party to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The BFF with our Patron, HRH The Prince of Wales. It reminds me of the remarkable breadth of support we get from people all over the world, and the dinner on Monday night will be a celebration of that.

I'm very much looking forward to it, as a moment to look back on the highs and lows and to springboard us into the future. What we exist for, and our services, are in greater demand now than at any other time. It will be a good gathering, not least because it will be one where we can discuss something quick, positive and effective that can be done for our Armed Forces. That's what The BFF is all about - being light on its feet, achieving high impact with big names and able to go anywhere we are asked to.

We are also proud of our more lateral projects, like our British Airways lounge project and our UK4U Christmas venture. I'm particularly delighted today to announce that we at The BFF and BA have been shortlisted for the Charity Times award in the corporate and social responsibility category.
