BFF pantomime tour
February 24, 2014
The BFF has entertained hundreds of Armed Forces families with a pantomime tour which stretched from Scotland to the west country.
Rave reviews greeted the performances of Dick Whittington put on by The Panto Bus company in association with the Charity.
First stop was Arbroath and the families of 45 Commando Royal Marines, and the second port of call was Faslane with both a matinee and evening performances for the Royal Navy families there.
The Scottish leg of the tour was extremely well received. “It was a great success which we as a team and community are very thankful for,” said a spokesperson for Faslane. “They went down a storm and both performances were a great success and very well attended by forces families.”
From Scotland it was down to the west country. The event at Chivenor was described as a “fantastic day for all” for the 100-strong audience, while there were some 150 at the performance for 40 Commando Royal Marines families at Taunton the following day.
Simon Lowe, Director of The Panto Bus, said: “The response we received whilst on the road was fantastically overwhelming. The email feedback has also been delightful.
“We have met some fantastic people and it’s fair to say we have been very well looked after by everyone along the way and for that we send our deepest thanks. I speak for the whole team when I say what great fun we have had with everyone with not a dull moment.”
