Half-term fun for Forces families

The BFF's annual February half-term panto tour proved another smash hit.

Goldilocks, the Three Bears and the Mayor of Porridgeton delighted audiences young and not so young at military bases across the country.

The Panto Bus began its two-week run at Chatham Barracks on February 8th and finished, 14 performances and 13 venues later, at RNAS Culdrose on February 21st.

A spokesman for RNAS Yeovilton wrote: "Thank you so much for arranging the panto to come to Yeovilton on Tuesday evening. We had 126 people enjoy the event with a mix of Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Army families. It was a wonderful performance and everyone really enjoyed themselves."

And the Welfare Officer at Thorney Island said: "Thank you to you and your team for the fantastic performance of Goldilocks and The Three Bears and The Mayor of Porridgeton. The afternoon was a huge success with the children and parents enjoying themselves tremendously; the feedback has been amazing. The Panto Bus is such a good idea providing great entertainment for young and old alike and hopefully we can now build on this new relationship and look forward to next year’s performance."

The Chatham spokesman added: "We had a terrific evening and all 140 people present thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The Panto Bus laid on a stirring performance and did us proud. Reaction was so positive that I’d like to place a bid now to have them come to us on their next tour. Thanks for all your help in laying this on; the evening was a great success."
