Katie Melua headlines BFF Ball

The incredible Katie Melua headlined at this year's glittering British Forces Foundation fundraising Ball.

Having travelled to Afghanistan in 2013 with the charity to entertain British troops, Katie agreed to appear at the Dorchester event where she delivered a mesmerising performance. The 350 guests watched spellbound as she opened her set with the classic Diamonds are Forever.

It was truly a case of the sublime to the ridiculous as next up on stage were The Raymond & Mr Timpkins Revue who have also stormed BFF shows for troops over the past 12 months with their madcap musical antics.

Throughout the night there was also music from The Salon Orchestra of the Central Band of the Royal Air Force, thanks to the Air Force Board of the Defence Council, and the all-important auctioneer for the evening was Charlie Ross of TV's Antiques Road Trip and Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is fame.

The Ball was a huge success and The BFF would like to thank all those who supported the event. Money raised will enable the charity to do more morale-boosting shows and other iniatives for our troops.

On Facebook, Ball guest Fred Hargreaves wrote: "It was indeed an excellent evening. The third BFF 'do' I've been too. Katie was outstanding." And on Twitter, Globestar Management tweeted: "An amazing event last night with @BFFtweets - so happy to be working with such a great organisation."
