Panto fun for military families

December 23, 2018

British military families across eight countries were treated to some festive fun courtesy of the British Forces Foundation again this Christmas.

The BFF Panto Bus visited more than 50 locations – bases in the UK, Cyprus, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands – to spread a little joy and, in some cases, a little reminder of back home.

Thousands – young and not-so-young – enjoyed panto favourites including Aladdin, Cinderella, Dick Whittington, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty.

3 Rifles – “From all the families and 3 RIFLES Welfare team who attended the Panto Bus production of Sleeping Beauty in Dreghorn Barracks – a massive thank you.  Our children, and our adults, thoroughly enjoyed the pantomime which was fantastic to see and a real privilege to be include in this year’s Panto Bus tour.”

Kendsrew Barracks – “I just wanted to take the time to say a massive thank you to you and your team for arranging the Pantomime for us this year. They have really outshone themselves and the kids loved it. I have a daughter that actually won’t stop singing the songs and the impression that was left on the kids faces is a joy to behold.  Again thank you, and all the best for you all in the coming year; until next year have a wonderful season from all of us at Kendrew Barracks.”

John Buchan School, Sennelager – “A quick message to say a huge thank you for this morning’s production of Aladdin. Our pupils and staff thoroughly enjoyed the performance (oh yes they did); it was fantastic to have six such talented actors presenting at such an appropriate level for our pupils. The inclusion of ‘all things fortnite’ was just inspirational, even if the staff were not exactly sure what all of the moves were!!”
