Music legend Sir Elton John once again teamed up with The British Forces Foundation to demonstrate his support for the country's troops.
Through the Charity he gave away some 2,000 tickets to Armed Forces personnel and their families to his latest UK concert tour.
Tickets, with a combined face value of £100,000, were snapped up for shows in Airdrie, Blackburn, Derby, Ipswich and Leeds.
Angela Saunders, the HIVE Information Support Officer in Colchester, wrote: "On behalf of 16 Air Assault Brigade and Colchester Garrison I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the opportunity of the free Elton John tickets. It was a fantastic concert enjoyed by all, and the seats were brilliant."
And Capt Adam Diver of 2 Lancs in Preston said: "What a brilliant night! All the lads and lassies loved it! We can't thank you enough. I organised some of troops with PTSD who came to get to the front - it was amazing!!!!"
