The British Forces Foundation has been playing its part in helping the volunteer effort during the Covid 19 crisis.
The charity’s CEO Mark Cann has been working in the Intensive Care Unit at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
“There was a call for volunteers, through the disaster response charity RE:ACT, to help hospital staff with the lifting and turning (pronating) of the most severely affected patients,” said Mark.
“We’ve assisted in all kinds of tasks to help ease the strain on the NHS workers. I’ve never been surrounded by so many bodily fluids!”
Community action (co-ordinating support for residents and local facilities) as well as help for individuals (doctors appointments, shopping and home maintenance) have all formed part of the BFF response to the pandemic.
When it comes to boosting morale and creating unforgettable experiences for our troops, The British Forces Foundation has always been at the forefront. We understand that every gathering deserves a touch of magic and we are here to make it happen smoothly and effortlessly. Read our testimonials.
