TCS London Marathon 2022
Event Date: October 02, 2022
Team BFF will be on the starting line for this year’s TCS London Marathon which takes place on Sunday October 2nd.
The intrepid runners are: Nick Humphreys, Christopher Jackson, BFF Ambassador Simon Lowe, Steven Pilmer, Steve Roberts, Jessica Small, Abbey Smith, William Todd, Tom Whistlecroft and Rachel Willett.
Simon said: “I ran (crawled my way through) the London Marathon once before… I swore never again because it was so hard!! Since then I have become unfit and struggle to run, through a mixture of long covid and general bad habits that have crept back in!
“I wanted to support the BFF again because of the fantastic work they have consistently done throughout the pandemic to keep boosting the morale of the families of servicemen and women. Against all the odds they have kept on going to ensure the families and communities of military personnel have not been forgotten.
“Whether it is sending out touring pantomimes and family shows to help bring the communities together and spread joy or provide entertainment through new and innovative ways. They are ensuring that the families and especially the children in these communities have the ability to smile and experience joy when they sacrifice so much for us all every single day.”
Good luck to all members of Team BFF with the months of training – and fund-raising – leading up to the big day itself.
