Pixie Lott welcomes home the Yorkshires
November 9, 2012
The amazing Pixie Lott was the surprise headline act at The British Forces Foundation’s welcome home show for 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment.
A crowd of 1,100 went crazy when the 21-year-old singer/songer-writer was introduced to the stage at Battlesbury Barracks in Warminster. Along with her band, she performed a 30-minute set, which included smash hits All About Tonight, Boys and Girls and Mama Do.
The atmosphere was electric as Pixie had the audience singing and bouncing.
The BFF show was to welcome home the Yorkshires who have just completed a very tough tour to Afghanistan.
Dance band Alpha Connection got the music underway before Pixie took to the stage, and after her performance they were then joined by one of The Yorkshire’s own, and 2011 X Factor finalist, Jonjo Kerr.
It was a night that will live long in the memories of all those lucky enough to be there. Captain Andrew Bond said after the show: “The night has gone down in regimental history. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for delivering every way.”
A huge thank you from The BFF to Pixie and her crew.
