5th March 2009
THE British Forces Foundations' 2nd Glorious Quiz Challenge was staged at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall.
Some 11 teams battled it out for honours over a three-course meal with six rounds of brain-teasers – including a whiskey tasting round, thanks to Diageo.
And it was, in fact, the minds of the Diageo team which proved the sharpest on the night, beating their closest rivals, Vestey Foods, by a whopping five and a half points.
However, there was just the one point separating second place and the three teams who shared third place.
To the victors, the spoils – the team captain received a Parker pen (courtesy of Parker), and all members of the top three teams were presented with goodie bags generously donated by Hackett, Jo Malone and Ralph Lauren.
And, of course, Diageo lifted the coveted BFF Quiz Challenge trophy which had been held by BAE Systems.
There was a silent auction and a raffle which all helped to raise approximately £5,000 for The British Forces Foundation.
Mark Cann, BFF Director and quiz master for the evening, thanked all those companies and individudals who supported the event. Plans are already underway for next years' event taking place at the Royal Automobile Club on.
