BAE Systems Relationship Charity Award

THE British Forces Foundation has entered a new era with the announcement of a Relationship Charity Award with BAE Systems - worth £100,000 over the next three years.

The award was made by the company's Subscriptions & Donations Committee which had the difficult task of choosing between the exceptionally high standard of proposals submitted by many deserving causes.

However, the BFF bid and its promise of a mutually beneficial partnership caught their eye. "I am delighted and grateful to BAE Systems for accepting our proposal for a three year Relationship Charity Award," said The British Forces Foundaion Chief Executive Mark Cann.

"The £100,000 will make a huge difference to the Charity and will help establish it as a medium-sized organisation.

"We are confident this will be a mutually beneficial partnership that will grow from strength to strength over the forthcoming years."

Since its inception in 1999 demands for the Charity services have increased year on year. The Relationship Charity Award will enable it to meet these demands and commit to future plans. In short, it will allow The British Forces Foundation to do even more – more shows for the main theatre of the day, more shows during decompression periods back in the UK, and an expansion of its welfare remit – and infrastructure - to include the families of servicemen and women, and hospital visits.
