The British Forces Foundation Director Mark Cann has attended an important high level War Child Policy Forum with Rt Hon William Hague MP.
The exclusive Policy Forum marked War Child UK’s 20th anniversary by exploring the trends likely to characterise conflicts over the next two decades. This was a solution-focused event addressing what conflict will look like in 2033, and how this will impact civilians - particularly children.
"Getting ahead of the curve can save lives," said a spokesman. "We consider this Policy Forum, bringing together key actors and thought-leaders from diverse sectors ranging from private corporations to legal experts, a critical first step in considering how best to protect children from the changing nature and tactics of war.
"We invited a select number of Parliamentarians, Politicians, representatives of Development Think Tanks, Academics and Chief Executives of key international humanitarian and development NGOs to take part in the forum – each invite carefully thought out to ensure experts in the room who can challenge and share knowledge from various professional backgrounds and vantage points"
