The BFF and Operation Golden Orb

The BFF served up some first-rate fun for more than 400 Royal Marines and Sailors currently under-going intense training for the King’s Coronation.

A fantastic night of laughs with comedians Kane Brown, Mike Gunn, Cerys Nelmes and Kev Orkian – in partnership with Jongleurs - provided the troops on Operation Golden Orb with some quality downtime.

Base Warrant Officer for HMS Collingwood, WO1 Mark Gower, said: “It was a huge success and everyone had a cracking night. You really did make a difference!

“To turn our query around in five days (two over a weekend) and pull the acts together was amazing. The Sailors and Marines training for the Coronation were extremely impressed.

“The show offered them some much needed downtime during this intense period of training prior to the Coronation next week and I have had nothing but thanks and lots of positive comments from those that attended.”
