BFF Panto Bus back in Cyprus

The BFF Panto Bus made a very welcome return to entertain the families of British Forces Cyprus at the end of spring.

The cast of Jack & the Beanstalk were given an enthusiastic reception at each of the four bases they visited – RAF Akrotiri, Dhekelia, Episkopi and Ayios Nikolaos – staging no fewer than seven performances.

"We had some great turn-outs at each of the shows," said theatre director Simon Lowe, "and RAF Akrotiri was outstanding; just another level."

It was here that the Panto Bus gave a fun 'adults only' version of the show, in addition to the two family performances. Alice was in the audience, and she said: "I just want to reiterate what a fantastic time my friends and I had last night – absolutely loved the show."

Sergeant Mat Whiteside, based at Akrotiri, helped organise the visit. "The pantomime is always well received amongst the families and children, and the adult show was equally, a roaring success – one of the funniest nights of the year. The adult shows continue to grow in numbers, as more are becoming aware of how entertaining they are."
