SINGING sensation Heather Small made everyone who supported this year's British Forces Foundation ball feel Proud. The former iconic voice of M People had guests on their feet dancing the night away at the Park Lane Hotel in London.

The 2008 event, which raised almost £40,000 for the Charity, was enjoyed by all, including BFF President Baroness Thatcher and Founder Jim Davidson OBE.

Undoubtedly, Heather's performance was the highlight but the party mood was carried on into the early hours thanks to the band Alpha Connection .

This years Ball was sponsored by Boeing and Mr Steven and Mrs Gillie Lamprell for which The British Forces Foundation is hugely grateful. It was a champagne reception on arrrival and a chance to see the complete range of lots in the Charity's silent and loud auctions. When guests were called to dinner they were welcomed by Jim Davidson OBE.

There followed music by an Ensemble of the Central Band of the Royal Air Force, a game of BFF bingo and a raffle. After the three-course meal, there was a short film documenting the recent work of the Charity and then the loud auction, under the watchful hammer of auctioneer Christopher Holden of Bonhhams. There was even a presentation to one of The BFF's most loyal supportors, Mr Paul Hayes, who was made an official Ambassador for the Charity.

Heather then took to the stage to really get the party started, and to round off the evening there was dancing to Alpha Connection.

Gold table sponsors received gifts courtesy of Liz earle Naturally Active Skincare, while raffle prizes were donated by Spa InterContinental, Roberts Radio Ltd and Jo Malone.
