THE British Forces Foundation put on arguably one of its best ever shows for the SAS when Rick Wakeman and Jim Davidson OBE entertained the Regiment at Christmas.
This was the fifth time that the Charity had made its annual pilgrimage to the home of the elite troops, and there was a full house to enjoy the show, which was kindly sponsored by loyal BFF supporters Steven and Gillie Lamprell.
Legendary keyboard player, Rick Wakeman, helped to create a sensational atmosphere and had the audience mesmerised with his musical mastery and amusing anecdotes.
And the humour continued with comedian Clive Cooper, recently returned from Afghanistan with The BFF, and the Charity's Founder Jim Davidson OBE took to the stage to deliver another first class performance.
A spokesman for the SAS said: "It was much appreciated that you and your team took the time to put on a performance that will be talked about for a long time.
"It is always reassuring to know that we have friends out there – this can make such a difference to welfare and morale of the troops.
"It was a memorable night and all the lads and lasses that attended have asked me to pass on all their thanks.”
When it comes to boosting morale and creating unforgettable experiences for our troops, The British Forces Foundation has always been at the forefront. We understand that every gathering deserves a touch of magic and we are here to make it happen smoothly and effortlessly. Read our testimonials.
