Fashion for the Brave's spectacular fundraising dinner, taking place at The Dorchestera in London on September 20th, will benefit both the Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund and The British Forces Foundation.
The highlight of the charity's gala evening will be a best of British-themed catwalk show introduced by the Telegraph's Hilary Alexander.
The 2012 event was launched in true style by model Jade Parfitt wearing a fabulous Corrie Nielsen dress and £1million Vintage Lace design diamond necklace from Boodles. She was also joined by fellow models Jasmine Guinness and Lyza Onysko.
As the project's 2012 patron, Nielsen, was tasked with creating the dress for Vogue TV presenter Parfitt to wear iat the launch which took place at the Household Cavalry Barracks in Knightsbridge.
"The Fashion for the Brave Union Jack dress is inspired by Britain's longstanding military history and even incorporates a handmade flag," Nielsen. told Vogue. "This is an extremely important event for the country and being selected as the designer to create the showpiece dress is amazing."
"I still can't believe it. I'm beyond honoured and just so pleased that Hilary Alexander chose me. I'm putting my all into it and will not let the Household Calvary Operational Casualties Fund, The British Forces Foundation or the United Kingdom down."
