The British Forces Foundation has named in the first round of charities that will receive a donation of a free campaign from Pell & Bales, the leading telephone fundraising agency for the not-for-profit sector, as part of its 21st anniversary year.
The agency announced in February 2012 that it would run 21 free campaigns and invited interested charities to apply. The BFF is among the first ten charities that will benefit from the scheme, with more to be announced later in 2012.
Other charities to have been selected include: Avert, bibic, Beating Bowel Cancer, Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Merlin, Royal London Society for the Blind, Breast Cancer Campaign, Tommy’s and UNICEF.
Pell & Bales will run several types of telephone campaign, including event registration and support calls, donor get donor initiatives, cash appeals and regular giving campaigns. Charities will benefit from truly integrated campaigns, making use of the phone and including website optimisation, SMS and email.
It is hoped that these first campaigns alone will raise as much as £300,000 for the selected charities.
Bethan Holloway, Client Services Director at Pell & Bales, says: “We are very excited to be working with these amazing charities and giving their fundraising efforts a much needed boost this year. It is particularly rewarding to be in a position to offer our support to charities who might not normally have the opportunity or the budget to undertake telephone fundraising. They will have the chance to test forward-thinking new technology and fundraising products at a time when many are finding it hard to fundraise.”
