14th December 2011

Back to News

A fundraising fashion show, with a guest performance by 80's pop icon Adam Ant, is being held at Ronnie Scotts this coming Monday (December 19). Proceeds from the event will go to the Emma Willis Shirts for Soldiers campaign, which comes under the auspices of The British Forces Foundation. The show will also mark the launch of Emma's new project to make beautifully carved bespoke walking sticks with a buffalo horn handle and a silver band engraved with regiment and initials, for injured servicemen and women. Emma has been visiting Headley Court Rehabilitation Centre making luxury Swiss cotton bespoke shirts for the recovering injured servicemen and women for the last three years. During that time she has spoken with many patients who really like the idea of walking sticks which they can proudly to show off their regiment. The sticks will be made in Gloucestershire and the silver bands engraved in Scotland. Each will cost approximately £100 and Emma, and everyone involved with the project, intends to make one available for any injured serviceman or woman who needs the assistance of a walking stick.
