Nineteen teams competed in the third BFF Golf Day Challenge, sponsored by Berenberg Bank, at the Royal Automobile Club's Woodcote Park course in Epsom. It was the foursome from Arc Stream whose name will be engraved on the coveted trophy this year having beaten off some stiff opposition. All the golfers enjoyed coffee and bacon butties before tee off which was followed by a sit-down buffet lunch after completing their rounds, during which the prizes were presented. Guests of honour were Brian Turner CBE and Michel Roux OBE who took to the course but were also very much involved in the Derby Ball held at the Royal Automobile Club later that night.. The evening event was in aid of three charities - The BFF, the Academy of Culinary Arts and Epsom Racing Staff Welfare - and the number of celebrity chefs at work in the kitchens were bolstered by Anton Edelmann and John Williams MBE. As well as the fabulous four course gourmet dinner, guests enjoyed a champagne reception and some wonderful entertainment courtesy of The BFF's international pianist and comedian Kev Orkian and a military band. They also generously supported both the Loud Auction - taken by racing pundit Mike Cattermole - and the Silent Auction, to make it a fundraising night to remember for all the charities concerned. The British Forces Foundation would like to thank Berenberg Bank for their continued sponsorship of the Golf Day Challenge, and Mr Darius Sarosh of the Erach & Roshan Sadri Foundation for his help and support with the event.
