Eastbourne Historic Vehicle Club has presented £500 to The British Forces Foundation - thanks to the success of last year’s Hellingly Festival of Transport.
Club Vice-President Mike Bray presented cheques to a number of other good causes including £1,000 to the Sussex Air Ambulance, £500 to St Wilfrid’s Hospice and £300 to the Eastbourne Avatar Scout Network.
Club chairman John Bishop said, “We are delighted to be able to support charities following the brilliant Festival of Transport held last summer, when the fine weather brought out many thousands of visitors to see our show.”
The Festival of Transport, run by the Eastbourne Historic Vehicle Club, is the largest three-day historic vehicle event in the South-East and regularly attracts more than 1,000 exhibitors covering all aspects of historic vehicles of the last 100 years.
