Congratulations to the intrepid team of 17 runners who pulled on their British Forces Foundation vest to take part in the 2012 Virgin London Marathon - and successfully completed the gruelling 26 and a bit miles.
Months of training paid off in every sense of the word, as the team's incredible efforts will have raised well in excess of £30,000 for The British Forces Foundation's morale-boosting work for troops.
First across the line for The BFF was Abby Essien in a fantastic sub four hour time of 3:57:09. She was followed by Stephen West in 4:08:30, with Fraser McMillan just behind in 4:14:.12 and James Phipps and Jack Kyle across the line in 4:23:29 and 4:25:31 respectively. Satwant Sandhu also fnished the race in under four and a half hours with a time of 4:28:50.
Team BFF runners Andrew Battman, Ollie McComb and Franz Saez all completed the challenge before the five hours were up and they were followed by Richard Exon, Niki Arnold Drewett, Matthew Salter, Malcolm Durrant, Ian Owens, Lynda Harper, Catherine Owens and David Bellman.
Massive congratulations go to them all for their stirling efforts.
