ROYAL Marines in Poole – including members of the Special Boat Service – were given a Christmas treat to remember by The British Forces Foundation.

Charity Founder Jim Davidson OBE, along with rock band The Jones Gang and singer Hollie Kennedy, delivered an outstanding show for a 500-strong audience.

By the end of the evening the crowd were on their feet dancing in front of the stage where all the performers had gathered for a rousing encore.

Commanding Officer of the SBS said the show surpassed all expectations. "It was a fitting end to an extraordinarily busy and demanding year for my staff and their families," he said.

"I have had nothing but enthusiastic comments about how enjoyable the whole evening was and clearly it has had a positive effect on morale within the unit."
