Television actress, writer and presenter Ruth Jones joined The British Forces Foundation on a morale-boosting visit to staff and patients at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
Ruth met with seriously injured military personnel receiving treatment at the hospital during her time on the wards, as well as those responsible for their care.
"I am so glad I met the guys this afternoon at the QEH - what incredible courage and spirit they have," said Ruth. "And the staff who look after them were utterly amazing, such tenderness and cheerfulness and beautiful care. It was a privilege to meet them all. I'm really glad I went."
