Windsor Castle Golf Day

29th September 2016

Back to News

The British Forces Foundation's inaugural Windsor Castle Golf Day went with a real swing.

This special fundraiser at the Royal Household Golf Club proved to be a memorable event for all those lucky enough to take part.

Among the players - swapping bat for club - was the former England cricket record-breaking batsman Graham Gooch OBE. He was a member of the Seven Investment Management team - BFF's corporate partners - and won the 'Closest to the Admiral' competition.

Overall winners of the tournament were the team from Deloitte (pictured), with Best Individual score and Longest Drive going to Roy Smith and Closest to the Pin prize to Tony Woodhams.

The Windsor Castle Golf Day was the brainchild of BFF Trustees Lieutenant General Peter Pearson CB CBE (pictured with Graham Gooch) and Admiral Sir James Perowne KBE.

Plans are already underway for next year's event. Watch this space!
