Wingwalking for the BFF

22nd September 2016

Back to News

BFF supporter Alison Allmand-Smith took to the skies strapped to the wing of a plane to raise money for the charity.

Alison and her sister Catherine undertook the daredevil feat to help pay for The BFF's free pantomimes for Armed Forces families this Christmas.

She successfully bid for the experience at the Charity's summer ball but decided she wanted to do even more for the cause.

The wingwalk was on an AeroSuperBatics Biplane called the Flying Circus. It involved being strapped to the outside (not the inside) of the aircraft on a seat mount and flying around in the sky, while the plane moves at speed and turns and spirals in the air.

Alison's exploits have already raised more than £2,500 for the charity but you can still show your support by visiting her justgiving page.

Bravo Alison - and a big thank you.
