The BFF aims to boost and maintain the morale of our men and women by providing high quality entertainment and other innovative programmes designed to demonstrate public support of our Armed Forces, including:
Core activity of the Charity remains our hugely important shows for the troops either on the frontline in Afghanistan or, as a welcome home as part of troops ‘decompression’ with stars like Katherine Jenkins, Professor Green, Jimmy Carr, Rob Brydon, and The Saturdays.
The BFF has also arranged inspirational visits to injured troops at Queen Elizabeth and Headley Court hospitals by the likes of F1 driver Jenson Button, Hollywood legend Tommy Lee Jones, DJ Tim Westwood and comedians Jimmy Carr and John Bishop.
Now in its third year and featuring messages from an array of well known celebrities and members of the public, the Christmas DVD is sent out to all 23,000 serving personnel around the world away from family and loved ones at this poignant time of year.
For the last two years, in conjunction with major brewery chains our Christmas DVD has also included a voucher entitling serving personnel to a free drink in their local pub or coffee shop on their return to the UK.
This programme, now in its fourth year, has enabled – through the broadcast of national sporting events like England at Wembley, the Cheltenham Festival and this year’s Aintree Grand National – our troops throughout the world to witness the high regard and appreciation held for them back home. This programme resulted in the Charity Times’ ‘Charity Principal of the Year Award 2008’.
When it comes to boosting morale and creating unforgettable experiences for our troops, The British Forces Foundation has always been at the forefront. We understand that every gathering deserves a touch of magic and we are here to make it happen smoothly and effortlessly. Read our testimonials.
